OIKOS is a volunteering association born in 1979 in Rome that collaborates with international volunteers to organize work camps and mid-term volunteer opportunities in Italy.
Thanks to our long experience in hosting and working with volunteers we have understood that the main value is to cooperate with people who, although come from different social backgrounds and have different experiences, share the same idea of being part of a
collective project.

People between 18 and 35 years old can be volunteers in Oikos.

WHAT TO BRING: Volunteers should  be motivated to work, having a healthy curiosity and a capacity to listen and learn. Moreover, a certain sense of responsibility and the ability of an autonomous way of life are required. Our principal aim as organisation is to encourage intercultural exchange by working together, hoping that each volunteer, as an indipendent part of the community, finds his personal role in daily life.

The travel costs are carried by the volunteers. The participation fee is 200,00 euros for the whole project's duration. OIKOS offers accomodation and food in exchange for 18 hours of work a week. Volunteering work's duration at OIKOS is indicated in the workcamps program.

As you've chosen a camp please complete by sending us the 50% amount of the participation fee (100euros) to confirm your inscription, and fill up the following form.

Consider that Oikos organizes, for our international volunteers, an intensive stage of Italian language and culture (extra charge of 50,00 at arrival). If you like to attend it please select it on the form.
