Attention to fraud and pickpockets! In Rome tourists are
cheated often, so be very careful. Only take official taxis.
Traffic apart, Rome is a great city. However,
accommodations are expensive and provide only a few
hostels. So we have decided to give the opportunity of a cheap stay, making available simple spaces usually reserved for
volunteers. It’s important that you keep in mind that OIKOS is a voluntary no-profit organization and you’ll be staying in
an environment which is based on respect and solidarity.

ACCOMMODATION:
Oikos hostel Rome has only 20 places to offer its guests:
- 2 Rooms with 4 beds
- Dormitory partitioned into cubicles for 1, 2 and 3 persons which can be closed and guarantee you some privacy.
We generally host only people over 18 (if you are under 18, please
advice us before reserving).

GENERAL:
The use of hot water is free and, in summer, you can refresh yourself in a little swimming pool.
We do not serve breakfast. The hostel is located in a two-floor building in a suburb
of Rome, in proximity of a park and neighbouring countryside. This means that, especially during summer, it is cooler here
than it is in the City.

Lockout between 12.00 a.m. and
6 p.m.
Check-in: From 11.00 a.m. -1 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 11.00 p.m.

HOW TO ARRIVE:
It takes 20 minutes to get here by car from the Airport*, 40 minutes by car or train from the central station. A 10 minute bus
ride (Nr. 705) gets you to the nearest Rome metro stop (Eur Fermi). Map/how to arrive
Who comes by car, can use our private parking place for free.
* If you decide to take a taxi, take care of dishonest drivers. From
Fiumicino airport to our hostel it costs 30-35 Euro.

BOOKING:
1. write an e-mail to hostel@oikos.org,
indicating:
- name
- nationality
- date of arrival/departure, number of nights
- number of persons (specifying age and gender)
2. After having received
the confirmation that there are beds free, you have to make the
contribution for your stay in advance (12,00 Euro per night per person +
3,00 Euro per person membership-card and
for the sheets + 4 % expenses)
in order to make a reservation.
You send us your credit-card number, the expiration date and name and birth-date of the cardholder.
Your reservation is confirmed when we receive the authorization from your bank to charge your card.
Contribution is not refundable.
